Last week I went to my local Debenhams and picked up few products from the Urban Decay counter.
I will let you know what I think about this products next week after I had a chance to try out them for few days so I can give you my honest opinion and tell you about my experience with those products.

Just like with Glossybox, Birchbox is all about skincare this month with 4 skincare products, 1 make up product and a make up sponge which is my absolute favourite! Been using it non stop since I received it in the post which you probably know if you follow my Instagram. If not make sure you do. Without further ado, lets move to the content of the box.

SPECTRUM COLLECTIONS Unicorn Tears Wonder Sponge full-size | £4.99

Birchbox says: "To achieve truly flawless make-up, this is the tool that you need. The perfect partner for cream, mineral, or liquid formulas, blend them seamlessly into skin, with the rounded end while the pointed tip gets into those hard-to-reach areas."

What I think?:  This is literally my favourite item in this months box. I love using this to apply my foundation and find myself reaching for it more than my brushes. It helps create a flawless base on my face and my make up never looks uneven or cakey when using this. It reminds me a lot of beauty blender without the hefty price tag.

Would I purchase this?: I will definitely repurchase it once my sponge needs replacing, or even get myself a few back ups as I can see myself loving it for a very long time!


LOC One and Done Shadow Stick in Empress Me full-size | £8

Birchbox says: "STOP PRESS! You are about to experience Birchboox's first in-house make-up brand. Expect up to 11 hours of creaseless, waterproof colour in one handy stick. This nifty formula provides effortless beautiful colour."

What I think?: The colour of this shadow stick is gorgeous and like the description says it is long lasting and creaseless. I actually find it really hard to remove it from my eyes which is a good thing as I know it lasts and I don't have to worry about it fading when I want to wear it on a hot day or on a day when I know I'm going to be wearing make up for longer than usually.

Would I purchase this?: I want to try out other colours however when this one runs out I reckon I will repurchase it as I do really enjoy using it.


PHILIP KINGSLEY PK Prep Polishin Balm | full-size price £18.50

Birchbox says: "Forget flyaways, frazzled hair, and dry ends, this balm-to-serum formula leaves every hair type feeling smooth and conditioned and looking sleek and glossy. Bonus: it also delivers ProVitamin B5 and Vitamin A to nourish deep-down, too!"

What I think?: I mainly use it to tame my frizz and flyaways as I don't really like spraying hairspray on my hair. It does a good job at making my hair appear smooth and feel incredibly soft. I never have to worry about my hair looking dry or frizzy when I use this.

Would I purchase this?: I never owned anything like this, I think it's truly incredible and will repurchase.


CLAUDALIE Vinosource Moisturizing Sorbet | full-size price £23

Birchbox says: "Yes, the humble grape is brimming with antioxidant-boosting benefits that your skin will love. Claudalie has harnessed its power within this unique gel-cream formula to hydrate, reduce redness and instantly soothe skin."

What I think?: I can't describe the scent of this sorbet, it's a nice fresh smell however I can't tell whether it's flowers it smells of or fruit, either way it does smell very nice and feels really nourishing on my face. I don't know whether it does reduce my redness as I haven't really notice much difference however I like it because my face actually feels hydrated and it soothes any irritation I may feel on my face.

Would I purchase this?: I think I would repurchase this product.


PURISKIN Resurfacing Formula | full-size price £13.99

Birchbox says: "Sometimes, your skin just needs a little TLC, and that's where this soothing formula comes in! Created for use on face and body, this gentle balm is packed with cooling cucumber to calm redness and irritation when you really need it."

What I think?: I like the idea of this, however I don't find myself ever reaching for it. I don't really like that it is created for both body and face. I prefer products that are made either for the face or the body as I feel they work better that way. I think it would be perfect for someone who actually needs it but I don't have any scars or blemishes that could use this.

Would I purchase this?:  Unless I was in need of a resurfacing cream and something to get rid of scars I don't think I'm going to repurchase this.


YOU-BE Moisturizing Skin Cream | full-size price £19.50

Birchbox says: "Whether it's cracked lips, scaly pre-summer legs, or rough hands, this nourishing gel-cream is packed with glycerin (a hydrating wonder-ingredient!) to deliver a healthy dose of vitamins and replenishment from top to toe."

What I think?: This works great as a lip balm for cracked lips and elbow moisturizer. I have a very rough skin on my elbows which never seems to be moisturized enough however this actually manages to make my skin on my elbows a lot softer with each use.

Would I purchase this?: I would repurchase this.

Morphe Brushes 690 6 piece Deluxe Contour Brush Set £18.25  http://bit.ly/25iLiID

Pointed Contour Brush which unfortunately is not included in the picture it my absolute favourite, I love to use it for cream contour and feel like it works best when used that way.

I also like the rounded buffer brush which I use to buff my foundation in.

I like the idea of this set and the fact that it includes travel sized brushes however I feel like I would be fine with just three brushes from this set, I don't see myself reaching for the angled contour brush or the smaller brushes too often, I do sometimes use the mini round buffer brush to buff in my concealer under my eyes.

The quality of brushes is really good and it's really worth the money even if you won't be using all of the brushes.

Personally I don't regret buying the set as the three brushes I have mentioned are slowly becoming my favourite brushes and I can give the remaining 3 to my sister which I'm sure she will be happy about.

For the price and the quality of the brushes I would really recommend this set.

Today I have something unusual for you, I'm going to be talking about how baking powder can be used in your skincare routine and all the benefits it has for your skin. Usually when you hear baking powder you think about it as a cake ingredient but I promise you at the end of this post you will look at it differently and instead of keeping it in your kitchen cupboard you will move it to your bathroom!

Today I have a review for you, over the past couple of weeks I have been testing out Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water and comparing it to my beloved Bioderma Hydrabio H2O.

I'm going to be totally honest and tell you that I haven't notice a massive difference between the two cleansing waters, both are very gentle on my skin and remove my make-up effectively I don't find myself having to use more cotton pads or rub more when I use the Garnier one so I think it's a very good dupe for Bioderma and it's 1/3 of it's price. I almost regret having backups of my Bioderma stocked up in my draw.

In order to show you the comparison of the two I have used Bioderma on one half of my face and Garnier on the other side of my face, here are the results:


As you can see there is no difference in how both waters get rid of my make-up apart from the fact that I didn't really needed to rub my face with the cotton pad that hard in order to remove my mascara when using the Garnier cleansing water.


Both cleansing waters seem very similar when you look at the bottles however the ingredients are what makes both cleansing waters different from each other

As you can tell from the images above, Garnier one has a lot less ingredients than Bioderma.

Verdict:

As much as it pains me to say, Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water wins this battle. I love the fact that it's available almost everywhere, it's almost always on offer and even when it's not it's still a lot cheaper than Bioderma. However the biggest reason as to why this is a winner for me are the ingredients, it has a lot less ingredients than Bioderma and it still manages to do the exact same job so if I can get the same result with fewer ingredients and chemicals going on my face then I'm sold.

You need to know something about me, while I am an absolute sucker for the luxurious packaging and big names I absolutely freaking love drugstore make-up! I love how I can treat myself to a whole new make-up set and still spend less then I would for one high-end product. These are the things I will forever repurchase and can't imagine my life without...

In this makeup stash I am going to be talking about the mascaras that I won and love.

MAYBELLINE Lash Sensational Mascara | £7.99

This is my favourite mascare at the moment, I use it every single day and it gives me amazing length and definition, I actually don't think my eyelashes have ever looked this good! I really like the plastic wand on this mascara.

MAXFACTOR  Clump Defy Extensions False Lash Effect Mascara | £11.99

This mascara is great for the natural looking eyelashes, it makes them look long but also clump free, it was my favourite mascara before I have discovered the Lash Sensational mascara. Just like the Maybelline mascara, it has a plastic wand that really separates my eyelashes.


MAXFACTOR 2000 Calorie Mascara | £7.99

This mascara is not great at lengthening my eyelashes however it makes them look really thick. This is the only mascara I own with natural bristles. I use it when I want more dramatic eyelashes and will usually use it together with a lengthening mascara underneath.

ESTEE LAUDER Sumptuous Infinite Mascara | £21.00

When I first bought it I didn't really like this mascara however the more I used it the more in love I was with it. It does everything from lengthening to volumising and defying my eyelashes. One thing I have to say about it is that it is a really wet formula so sometimes it can be hard to work with however you do get used to it and the end result it really worth it.

YVES SAINT LAURENT  Babydoll Mascara | £25.00

This mascara does everything, lengthens, volumises and defy my eyelashes. I like it because the formula of it is drier than other mascaras so you never really end up with clumpy eyelashes. This also makes my eyelashes super black and adds drama to my makeup look.

In my next makeup stash I will be talking about mascaras that I own but I don't really get on well with.

Can we all take a minute and appreciate how beautiful this box is? I'm so in love with it, I do regret not ordering the notebook that came with the box.

BENEFIT COSMETICS Dew The Hoola | full-size price £22.50

What I think?: I didn't really expect to like this as i am not really a fan of liquid or cream bronzers however this stuff is incredible, it is truly undetectable and it perfect on top of bb cream or even bare skin to just add some colour to your face. I don't put this on top of my foundation but do think it's great for a natural look.

Would I purchase this?: Definitely!

CYNTHIA ROWLEY BEAUTY Eyeliner in Black, full-size | £11

Birchbox says: "A creative force to be reckoned with in the fashion world, designer Cynthia Rowley has since turned her hand to beauty for her Birchbox-exclusive make-up line. This creamy pencil rivals the best of them thanks to its velvety-smooth finish, smudge-proof formula, and long-lasting results."

What I think?: I like this because it's super super black and so creamy! I like to add it to my waterline as it stays there all day!

Would I purchase this?: Yes!

NUXE Huile Prodigieuse | full-size price £17

Birchbox says: "Forget what you think about oils, this multi-purpose formula is about to change everything! A blend of six essential oils (including sweet almond, hazelnut and macadamia), reparative plant oils, and vitamin E, it adds a healthy dose of hydration and a velvety sheen wherever you need it."

What I think?: This is absolutely incredible! It's a dry oil so it doesn't leave you at all greasy but it does an amazing job at moisturising your face! I use it every night after washing my face and before my night cream and wake up with face more hydrated than ever before! It looks more vibrant and dewy as well!

Would I purchase this?: I already have purchased a back up for when my sample finishes!

PARLOR BY JEFF CHASTAIN Detangling Leave-In Conditioner | full-size price £17

Birchbox says: "Whether your hair is fine or think, straight or curly, chances are the struggle against tangles is real! Enter: this leave-in formula from NYC stylist, Jeff Chastain. A blend of sweet almond extract and vitamin B5 delivers soft, sleek, shine to troubled tresses with the added benefit of heat protection.

What I think?: I like the smell of it and that it has a heat protection however my hair isn't very tangly so I don't feel the need for it plus leave in conditioner just causes my hair to get greasy quicker and weights my hair down. I feel like it would be better for someone with thicker or curly hair.

Would I purchase this?: Not really no.

KUESHI Foot Care Cream | full-size price £12

Birchbox says: "Show your feet some love (after all, they carry us around from morning 'til night!) with a little help from nature in the form of this nourishing lotion. Enriched with sweet almond oil and royal jelly to soothe and soften, as well as tea tree oil to calm and relieve, it sinks in quickly for instantly happy feet."

What I think?: This is so different than other foot creams I have ever tried. For one it doesn't smell horrible, I love the tea tree oil scent of it. It also absorbs a lot quicker than other foot creams so you don't have to sit with your feet up for ages waiting for the cream to sink in.

Would I purchase this?: Probably yes.

Bleaching your hair really damages it so it is really important that if you do go ahead and bleach it, you take good care of your hair afterwards and do everything in order to get it back to being healthy.



Few things that you might want to remember are:

• Don't wash your hair too often (try and wash your hair about every 3 days, if it goes greasy just use dry shampoo, your hair will soon get used to being washed less often and won't go greasy as quickly)
• Deep condition once a week (Olaplex is very good and is recommended by hairdressers for people who bleached their hair, the results are very quick aswell) 
• Try and use less heat on your hair, avoid using hair drier and let your hair dry naturally
• If you do use heat on your hair, make sure to always use a heat protecting spray
• Buy a product that will prevent split ends as bleached hair is more prone to split ends
• At least twice a month, try and use overnight mask on your hair ( I personally just stick to coconut oil) 
• Use essential oil on your hair after every wash 
• finally, make sure to trim your hair regularly!
