BRUSH GUIDE (BRUSHES FOR THE BEGINNERS)

10:29 PM

Hello Lovelies!

Today I have prepared for you The Ultimate Brush Guide, I'm going to talk about my make-up brushes and recommend some for those only just starting out with make-up which should help you choose your perfect brushes. I know I like to know what other think before I buy new make-up products and tools so hopefully this will help someone out.
The brushes I mention are the brushes I would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for new brushes, they are all affordable and never disappointed me.

The brushes I am mentioning are mainly from Real Techniques, Ecotools, So Eco and Hakuro, which are all affordable and of really good quality I have been using them for ages and swear by them. I hope you find this helpful and it helps you start your brush collection.

Face Brushes

Foundation Brushes
Perfect base is the key to any make-up, flawless face will make the whole make up look more put together and help you feel more confident even if you decide not to do anything special with your eyes. If you use a good brush then any foundation can apply and look better on your face.

Concealer Brushes
Eco Tools concealer brush is my absolute favourite, it works perfectly underneath your eyes however if you want to conceal your spots I would opt for the Hakuro brush. Concealer brushes are not necessary in your collection, you can get away just using your foundation brush to apply/blend in your concealer however if you are in need of a concealer brush, here are my top 3 picks.

Powder & Setting Brushes
It is important that once you finish your base you set your make up with powder, especially when you're oily and your make-up tends to wear off or melt. Even if you have drier skin and don't feel like you need to powder, make sure you set your under eye to avoid any creasing that could make you look older.

Highlighter Brushes
Highlighting your face is one of the biggest trends this year. It is important that you find a perfect highlighting brush that's not too small or too big to achieve that perfect highlight that doesn't just look like streak of shimmer across your cheeks. I personally love using Real Techniques Setting Brush for my highlight but the Fan Brush is also great. It all depends what kind of brushes you prefer.

Blush Brushes
Most of the time you can get away without a specific brush just for your blush, you can use either a clean bronzer brush or powder brush to apply your blush. Some of my favourite brushes for blush are Blush Brush by Real Techniques and H24 by Hakuro

Bronzer & Contour Brushes
I believe that just like foundation brushes, bronzer and contour brushes are really important and it's always better to have a good brush that doesn't shed or doesn't pick the product evenly as it can leave you with patches on your face. These brushes have been my holy grail brushes for at least a year now and they never disappoint me, none of these brushes shreds no matter how much I wash them.

Eye Brushes

Rather than talking about each single brush, and every category, I'm just going to say you don't need this many eye brushes. You probably just need 4 brushes, one all over shadow brush, a crease brush, blending brush and an eyeliner brush and you are good to go. If you don't really like using eye shadow or you just like a simple eyeshadow look, you can just skip this part. However if you want to start experimenting with eyeshadow I would recommend you get one brush from each category as it will make it a lot easier for you and you will be able to create more looks. I will post a detailed how to do eyeshadow tutorial soon.

Ecotools and So Eco make up brush sets and Hakuro brush sets are really good too, and they all good value for money, I would especially recommend Hakuro ones as they are not expensive and are of a really good quality, very comparable to Zoeva.

If you have any questions regarding the brushes please leave them in the comments below I will get back to you as soon as I can.
